It users your local time zone. Other visitors will see the exact same timer as you see on your website.

With Free plan, you could configure multiple bars, but only one could be active.

With Premium plan

  1. Visitor Source Targeting, You can created different bars for visitors come from different social channels, such as your Facebook ads, Twitter posts, Pinterest pins, etc. So they see a countdown timer bar that is in tune with the ads that attracted them. If you like showing bilingual messages, 2 active bars will do the work with different Geo Target settings.

Is there a way of loading the bar more rapidly?

The delay is because of the Shopify restriction. To achieve the best user experience, Shopify will always load your website first, and then the apps, hence the delay.

But there is one more thing we can try:

  1. Please go to the “FAQ” page by clicking on the “FAQ” button on the top right corner of the app.
  2. Find "Can Countdown Timer Bar display as soon as the website loads?”.
  3. Please follow the instruction and let us know if it works.

Is it possible to change the days, hours, minutes, seconds to another language?

It supports some languages for the days/hours/minutes/seconds. You can find it under “Advanced Configuration”.

What is the recommend background image size?

The background image can be any format. We recommend using PNG or JPG as they are the most common image format.

The background image is not a single one big image. It is a small image that repeating itself horizontally and vertically.

If you are using the default settings, we recommend using an image with 45-90px height. Width is flexible. You can also use our holiday theme image background as an example. Our images dimension is 45 x 105px.

Can I get a bigger font size on the mobile devices?

On mobile browsers, the font size will be capped to achieve best display style.

To achieve this, you can create 2 bars (this is a Premium feature):

  • One targets the desktop devices
  • One targets the mobile devices

Then, the mobile one can use a larger font size.

How to run multiple bars?

Running multiple bars is the solution

You can set up 2 bars:

  • One bar is for “All Pages”
  • One bar is only displaying on the selected page(s) with the URL keywords. On the selected page(s), this bar will have the priority to overwrite the previous one, so that you won’t have 2 countdown timers on one page.

URL keywords

In terms of the keywords, please use the last part of the URL as your keywords.

For example:

  • Your selected page URL is: www.yourdoamin.com/something-in-the-middle/the-page-you-want-url
  • The recommended keyword is: the-page-you-want-url

Multiple keywords could be separated by a comma.

For example: the-first-page,the-second-page

Daylight Saving Time

The app doesn’t auto update the daylight saving time at this moment. Very sorry for the inconvenience. Please manually made it end 1 hour earlier in the app.

Meanwhile, I will bring this to the dev team and see if they could probably consider a solution for fixing it.

Timezone

The timezone will always be your(user's) time zone.

If someone in another timezone logs into the app in your store. He will see an adjusted time based on his timezone so that the app can guarantee that both of you always see the same “time.”

For example:

User A is in Zone +4, and user B is in Zone +5. When user A sets the countdown to run at 8 am, the user B will see the timer is scheduled to run at 9 am in the app on his end.

If User B edits the time to run at 10 am, User A will see the countdown is scheduled to run at 9 am.
